Dj Scotty Fox Bio Birthdate: 4-17-****

Nationality - Whiteboy

Hometown: San Francisco, born & raised.

Education: Lowell High School, San Francisco
                 University of San Francisco

History:

I started DJin in 1989, right after the big earthquake. We had a day
off from school, and my friend Sunil K (percussionsf.com for all you
house-heads) had just got some turntables, so I went to his house and
he showed me the basics. I had always been interested, so I saved up
and bought a pair myself. Sunil and I, along with a few other friends
founded Rhythm In Motion Mobile DJs in 1990. From there it was
practice, practice, practice all week and go do parties and schools on weekends.

Here's a short video about the crew...

After we all separated for college, I joined
Spintronix Mobile
Entertainment out of Daly City in 1994.
Here Is a video about Spintronix.

I also began
working at a DJ-oriented record store called UltraSounz.

I got my first taste of radio in September of 1996, when I was able to
do a guest spot on the Flava Boys show (DJ Mein & Double-Barrel Darryl)
on Wild 107. From there, I got a regular spot on the weekends. That's
where I met Big Von.

In 1998, I started mixxin on the CHOP SHOP with Big Von, late saturday
nights on Wild 94.9. Our style was "anything goes, no more music by the
suckers", ruff, rugged and raw hip-hop....which didnt always sit well
with the management...sooo...

in 2001, when the two stations merged, Big Von and I were sent to KMEL,
to do evenings.

We've been killin it ever since.

no more music by the suckers...
