CHRIS BROWN SMACKED RIHANNA???

LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) -- Singer Chris Brown, a no-show for Sunday night's Grammy Awards, has been charged with a felony in connection with a domestic violence incident.

Chris Brown attends a party saluting music producer Clive Davis in Beverly Hills, California, on Saturday.

Chris Brown attends a party saluting music producer Clive Davis in Beverly Hills, California, on Saturday.

"Detectives investigating the alleged domestic violence felony battery booked him for criminal threats," a statement from the Los Angeles Police Department said. "At the time the case is presented to the Los Angeles County district attorney's office, additional charges may be filed."

Brown, 19, posted a $50,000 bond and was released by police at 8:35 p.m. (11:35 p.m. ET). A March 5 court date has been set.

Brown, nominated for two Grammy Awards, was scheduled to perform at the show.

His girlfriend, singer Rihanna, abruptly canceled her planned Grammys performance, but neither her spokesman nor the show organizers gave a reason.

"Rihanna is well," her spokesman said in a written statement. "Thank you for concern and support."

Police have not identified the alleged victim, who they said "suffered visible injuries and identified Brown as her attacker."

Brown, 19, and Rihanna, 20, were seen together Saturday night at a pre-Grammys dinner at the Beverly Hills Hilton, about five miles from where police said the alleged incident happened at 12:30 a.m. Sunday.

The police statement said Brown and a woman were in a vehicle near Hollywood's Hancock Park when "they became involved in an argument."

"After stopping his car, Brown and the woman got out and the argument escalated," police said.

After receiving a 911 call at about 12:30 a.m. Sunday, officers found the woman at the scene of the alleged fight, but Brown had left, the department said.

Investigators were treating the incident as a possible felony battery case, police said.

Executives with Brown's record label at the Grammy Awards told CNN they knew nothing about the incident and declined further comment.

Brown was nominated for two Grammys this year, including in the best male R&B vocal performance category for his song "Take You Down."

He also shares a best pop collaboration with vocals nomination with Jordin Sparks for "No Air."

The introduction to the CBS broadcast of the Grammys, apparently pre-taped, listed both Brown and Rihanna as performers

Jim Jones Pleads Not Guilty To Assault Charges, Faces $7 Million Lawsuit

Jim Jones entered a not guilty plea to misdemeanour assault charges today (February 4) for his involvement in an altercation that occurred at a New York Louis Vuitton store last year.
New York police slapped Jones with the assault charges last month for punching Javyon Smith in the face at the Manhattan Louis Vuitton store on Christmas Eve.
Smith, who was accompanying Ne-Yo at the store, has filed a $7 million lawsuit against Jones claiming that the rapper's attack caused "redness, swelling and substantial pain" to his face.
Jones, who was freed without bail, is expected to make his next court appearance on March 24th.
Jones is currently gearing up to release his fourth solo album Pray IV Reign in March.

Etta James vs Beyonce??

Oh snap! Just when we thought Etta James may have been happy about Beyonce singing her song “At Last” for the Prez and First Ladies’ First Dance on Inauguration night, we were thoroughly wrong. Fierce Kitty Etta showed who the real Diva was when she popped off extra hard on Beyonce during her concert in Seattle a few nights ago. She told the crowd: You know, YOUR President, the one with the big ears-he ain’t MY President–had that woman singing for him at his Inauguration. She’s going to get her **** whooped.”

50 is STILL TALKIN....

Def Jam shuts RICK ROSS down!
Quantcast

Inside sources at Def Jam tell us that Island Def Jam Chairman, L.A. Reid has ordered Rick Ross not to call radio DJS or radio personalities regarding the beef with him and 50 Cent. Apparently Def Jam feels like Rick Ross is out there making a fool of himself. While he just launched a brand new single, "Magnificent," featuring John Legend, all the attention is focusing on his downward spiral ever since going at 50 Cent. Sources tell us that Def Jam is not pleased with the reaction his new single is receiving. A radio single with John Legend is usually an automatic win, but unfortunately for Rick Ross, he has only received 126 spins across the country since his record premiered over a week ago. As of late, everybody that interviews Rick Ross focuses on his days as a correction officer, his situation with his baby's mother and 50 Cent instead of focusing on his record.

In the midst of all the 50 vs Rick Ross beef, Killa Cam managed to pop up on the cover of XXL and with a new song n video... check it out!

Right on the heels of last month’s Jim Jones and Juelz Santana coverstory on XXL…..Cam talks to the homie Vanessa Satten in the April issue due out in a few weeks. ..."...:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outgoing/www.xxlmag.com/online/?p=36359');" href="http://www.xxlmag.com/online/?p=36359" target="_blank">Here’s XXL’s preview:

The cover story features Cam finally speaking on his enigmatic hiatus, Diplomats ownership, being an alleged “paper gangster” and the root of his rifts with Jim Jones and Juelz Santana, among other things. While Dipset loyalists seemingly can’t get over Dipset being a Cam-less crew, Killa appears to have moved on. “…So I understand what the fans are saying,” Cam told XXL Executive Editor Vanessa Satten, who penned the cover story. “And it’s kinda messed up. But what you gotta realize is that things can always be fixed behind the scenes. But once a problem gets public, it’s kind of unfixable.”

Per Cam, Jones suggesting to cook up a publicity stunt and his feud with 50 Cent largely contributed to the crew’s internal feud being “unfixable.”

“The two things that you could say it was is: The come to my house and try to start a fake beef between me and [Jim],” Cam explained. “And the kinda like siding with 50 when me and him is in the dead middle of beefing or whatever.”
