Jeffery Atkins aka Ja Rule was released from a New York state prison yesterday on gun charges stemming from 2007.
However, upon his release he was deported to Oneida County Jail in New York where he will remain in custody while authorities investigate another charge against him.
It looks like Ja owes $1.1 million in back taxes stemming from royalties and tour profits!
