The Black Joy Parade @ Downtown Oakland

Celebrate the Black experience past, present and future at the 5th Annual Black Joy Parade, coming to Oakland on Sunday, February 27th.

The parade begins at 12:30p and will start at 14th and Broadway in Downtown Oakland. The parade will wrap up at 20th and Broadway, where the Celebration site is also located.

Admission is free for all ages and festival goers are encouraged to bring their families.

Parking is limited and transportation recommendations are as follows:

  • BART: Both the 12th St City Center or 19th St Stations are walking distance from the festivities
  • Amtrak: Take Amtrak to Jack London Square and proceed to take a short 18 minute walk to the start of the parade. Festival goers can also take the free Broadway shuttle
  • Drop Offs: It is recommended to set your drop off location to 21st and Harrison
