California is the first state to require either a proof of vaccine or negative COVID test in order to attend an indoor event with more than 1,000 attendees. This new rule will go into effect on September 20.

Indoor 'mega events' include: conventions, conferences, expos, sporting events, concerts, etc. According to Forbes, event organizers will be responsible for informing attendees and "will not be allowed to permit people who attest to taking the Covid-19 vaccination to enter the event without proof."

This rule will be in place until November 1st and will be extended as needed.
