Sony's PS5 Reveal: New Design, Spider-Man and All Other Trailers

Sony has called in its friendly neighborhood Spider-Man to help launch the next generation PlayStation 5 video game console later this year. Announced at the beginning of the live-stream, the company introduced a new installment in the beloved ‘Spider-Man” series, this time focusing on Miles Morales, a character at the center of the hit 2019 movie, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. The official title of the game is Spider-Man: Miles Morales and will be released later this year over the holiday season, alongside its new PS5 console in time for the holidays.

The company had delayed the event after protests erupted nationwide in response to the killing of an unarmed Black man, George Floyd, while in police custody.

"Today's the day that we've been looking forward to for years where we get to show you just some of the games that demonstrate our belief that PlayStation 5 marks the biggest generational transition our industry has yet seen," Sony’s Jim Ryan announced to kick off the event.

Sony says the price for the PS5 will be revealed at a later date. However, the full reveal of the PS5 has folks ready to cash in.

The PS5 will have a camera, charging dock, headphones, and media remote accessories. See the reveal and reactions below!

Many of the games Sony showed were built by its game studios, including Insomniac Games, which made Spider-Man.
